Hi guys, this is just a quick guide to help all of those wishing to organise a cruise with some basic guidlines to follow. Please keep in mind that these are not set rules and are a guide only, just sugestions to help you on your way
/ When organising a cruise GIVE AS MUCH INFORMATION as possible. This applies to the original post, and any decent cruise will have an itinery and have had a scout run done. Post ALL relevant information inthe original post, and go from there.
/ Have a cruise leader and other helpers in other cars. The cruise leader should lead and be familiar with the route being taken. ALL cruise leaders and helpers should be in contact via UHF. If there is a problem it is easily sorted then. A cruse leader should br able to co-ordinate and communicate well
/ Have as many UHF radios as you can! Try to let everybody know in your details what channel you will be using and confirm with all at the meeting point. When on the cruise and radios are being used, please talk as much as u like, but when someone starts broadcasting important information, please listen carefully and respect the time and effort that has been put in to get the cruise up and running
/ Slow cars should generally stick to the rear, that way the more enthusiastic can have more room to move up the front. Dont try and drift in a clapped out car. But as i said, if u think u are a little slower, move over and let others through, we are all there for fun.
/ There should be several stops on a cruise so people can regroup and have toilet stops and what not. Make sure you define these at the start of the cruise. They are usually entailed in the intinary. Servos are always a good one, due to food, toilets and fuel. Always have at least a servo stop during a cruise. They usually make the best meeting points as well.
/ RESPECT OTHERS. Don't be shy and talk to others, we are all there for the same reason. So make the most of it and make new friends, meet new people
/ RESPECT THE PUBLIC. When you are driving in a congregated area with alot of public traffic don't carry on like fools and take care, anyone who acts in a manor other than that, should be spoken to at the next stop, and in a severe case scenerio be asked to leave. This is your cruise, and if people act like idiots when the public are all about the police will soon arrive and stop the whole thing
/ INFORMATION. A lot of planning makes a good cruise. Allow for the amount of cars you think will be attending and in city cruises it is very hard to keep as a group so have a few of stop off points. Plan your cruise around the area
/ ENJOY YOURSELF. These things are ment to be fun, but keep it to a safe manor and don't carry on like fools
Hope this information helps you all out
